Psalms 106 - 107 (3rd May) - Ezra

Psalms 106 - 107

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever. (NIV)

Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. (NKJV)

The above verse appears in the beginning of both chapters 106 and 107. As we read on in 106 and 107, you will realize that David is praising the Lord and humbling himself in every way.

I believe these two chapters are very straight forward. Telling us that, in everything, give thanks and give praise to our Lord in everything we do and whatever happens.

Easier said than done. But I'll put it this way; it's easier felt than not giving thanks.

As written in chapter 107:43 "Whoever is wise will observe these things, And they will understand the lovingkindness of the LORD. "

The 'lovingkindess': this word is not in the dictionary, but why they put these 2 words as 1 word?

Reason: This is expressing how much God loves us and His kindness in our lives which is way beyond what any human can give. This is why, chapter 107 ends off saying that, whoever is wise will observe these things, and they will understand......... why is it important to give thanks to God always; Pass or fail, good or bad, very good or very bad, in all things, give Him all the glory, praise, honor and thanks giving.

Application: Take a min or 2 to thank God for your day before you sleep. It may be just 2-3 sentences, God hears and appreciates them all. The more you give thanks to the Lord, the more He will bless you greatly and the more you will live your life in joy.
