Mark 15, Matt 27 (12th November) - Sky

In both chapters you see a summary of what happens on the death of Jesus.

Judas deeply regretted his actions, but yet his remorse did not necessarily equal repentance. As his sorrows lead to his own death, Corin 7:10 states

“Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death”

Next scene is the sentencing of Christ, such sadness fills my heart as the sentence was in such an unjust and painful manner. But we know only He can give the true salvation through his sacrifice.

Jesus was tortured before being crucified, each having its own meaning and significance. We see some intimate moments as Jesus cried out to out GOD why He has forsaken Him. With the weight of sin of the world on Him, HE felt the agony of separation from his Father.

During the death Jesus the curtain in the temple tore in 2. This curtain separates the Holy Place from the Most High. What does this mean to you?
