2 Samuel 22

This chapter recorded the song from David when the Lord delivered him from the hands of his enemies and from Saul (v1). It was a song that praises the Lord for what He has done and what David proclaimed God to be his:-

  • Rock (v1)
  • Fortress (v1)
  • Deliverer (v1)
  • Shield (v3)
  • Salvation (v3)
  • Stronghold (v3)
  • Refuge (v3)
  • Savior (v3)
  • Support (v19)
  • Lamp (v29)

2 Samuel 23

Recorded David last words.
3 The God of Israel spoke, the Rock of Israel said to me: 'When one rules over men in righteousness, when he rules in the fear of God,
4 he is like the light of morning at sunrise on a cloudless morning, like the brightness after rain that brings the grass from the earth.'

Be a leader that leads in righteousness and be one that fears the Lord.
This chapter also recorded David’s mighty men.

This is a David’s prayer when he fled away from Saul into the cave. David begins with prayer and complaint (v 1-6). He concludes with joy and praise (v 7-11).
