Hebrews 7 - 10 (22nd December) - Benjamin

In today’s readings, we are constantly being reminded of various things.

Firstly, we are reminded of not God’s forgiveness of our sins and transgressions. Of course, it does not imply that we should continue indulging in the desires of the secular world and keep asking for forgiveness. This will be taking God for granted and testing God. We should constantly check ourselves and watch our words and actions so that we do not go against His will.

Next, we are reminded to live with hope, trusting God to bring us to a wonderful ending in every circumstance. This can be difficult since many a times, we will be impatient, or maybe even scared to live according to His divine plan. We will attempt to move in our own directions which may not be what He has planned. We want a hold on how things in our life happen. But I guess some of us would have experienced how amazing things will eventually work out when we just live by His plan, waiting patiently for everything to fall into place and let the whole picture be crystal clear to us.

Next, the new covenant that the Lord has made with man, where all men will know the Lord. How wonderful that is!

Lastly, we are re-affirmed of God’s visitation again, where in Heb 9:28 it says that Christ will appear a second time to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him. Let’s hold faith and stand firm according to His word; let’s continue to wait patiently for Him to reveal Himself to us and what His plans are for us; let’s be the child whom He will say ‘Well done’ when He sees us.
