1 Chronicles 26 - 29, Psalm 127 (27th May) - Vivien

1 Chron 26 – 27
This is a continuation of the previous chapters of the different duties. In chapter 26 it is a record of the gatekeepers, treasurers and other officials. Chapter 27 is a record of the army divisions, officers and the King’s overseers. Everything was so orderly.

1 Chron 28
In this chapter David announced his plan of building a temple for God through his son Solomon, as God has chosen him. the requirement of the temple was revealed to David and passed on to Solomon to start the work.

In verse 20 - 21:
“David also said to Solomon his son, ‘Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the Lord is finished. The divisions of the priests and Levites are ready for all the work on the temple of God, and every willing man skilled in any craft will help you in all the work. The officials and all the people will obey your every command.’”

God is our best supporter! If He has started something with you, He will finish it! Don’t lose hope in what you are doing now but fix your eyes on Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith.

1 Chron 29
In this last chapter of 1 Chronicles, it was a happy ending. It was a moment of celebration where Solomon was appointed and anointed king. And this also marked the end of David’s reign. For David, in verse 8 it recorded that he died at a good old age, having enjoyed long life, wealth and honour.

Psalm 127
This psalm reflects Solomon’s understanding of God. He knew that without God, he is nothing. He is really a man of wisdom, who understanding God’s favourite group of people - Children!!! This is the psalm that gave birth to the name of TOUCH Young Arrow!!! Children are like arrows in the hands of a warrior. Children are blessings from God. In TYA we are serving a blessed group, where the Kingdom of God belong to such as them. I truly encourage Livingstones to join in and be part of TYA by being a volunteer! You can touch lives!
