Matthew 2, Luke 2: 39 – 52 (3rd October) - Sylvia

Having heard of Jesus’s birth from the angels, the Magi (Wise Men) wanted to go and worship Him, at the same time alerting Herod who became fearful for His position as King thus giving the order for all boys in Bethlehem who were below two years to be killed.

Joseph and Mary had to run to another town to protect Jesus. That’s how they ended up in the town of Nazareth.

Jesus knew at a young age that He was God’s child and He was obedient and eager to learn about the teachings of the word of God. As He grew up, He had favour in the eyes of God and man.
