Both books on this chapter shared about the same thing. It was about God spoke to David through Nathan and lead David into prayers. You can see that the favor of God was upon David especially when Nathan told David ‘that whatever he has in mind, do it, for the Lord is with him.’ Well, when the presence of God lives in you, ask whatever you wish and it will be given you (John 14:12-14, John 15:7)

2 Samuel 7 & 1 Chronicles 17 (7th May)
